These naturally coloured hats are dyed with home grown or locally foraged plants* with an Alum mordant. Each hat is knit by my self on a domenstic punch card knitting machine from my North Wales workshop using Merino wool. Due to the hats being dyed whole, there will be variegation/changes in tone across the hat.

*Please note that this batch of Madder is a mix of home grown and purchased root.
 
Disclaimer
The colour of naturally dyed wool can change over time and should be washed seperatly using a small amount of mild PH neutural soap. When not in use, it is best to store your knitwear out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Walnuts are involved in part of the dying process so please keep this in mind if there’s concerns over allergies etc. I’ve conducted endless tests into light and colour fastness over the last 3 years and I’m confident that your should get years of use from your knitwear but please let me know if you have any questions.
